So we (Me, my son Tony, and his friend Dylan, both teenagers) went out to the farm the other day as we decided that we wanted to go shooting, and what better opportunity for us to do a review on a product like the Walker’s Razer shooting ear muffs than when you're going shooting obviously. let me set up for you the environment and what we were actually testing at the time. We were on an open range on a farm with a Savage Model 10 FCP-SR in .308 caliber rifle with a SLR Rifleworks Synergy BCF .30 Cal Hybrid Muzzle Brake shooting at a Target that was 75 yards away.

I found the 4 following main benefits to be the best things about these earmuffs:

Excellent hearing protection
360° audio amplification
Comfortable, Comfortable, Comfortable
GREAT battery life.

So let’s review those points for a minute.
#1 The hearing protection - Now if you know me, you’ll know that since I'm in IT, my hearing is super important because I’m always on a bunch of conference calls, therefore Normally when i go to the range I have to wear a pair of foamies and a pair of ear muffs. With these, that’s not necessary at all. These will SHUT DOWN when anything loud like a gunshot is detected. And this fact was tested by sitting next to the rifle after multiple shots. so from now on, no second layer of protection will be needed as these will be my go-to earmuffs.

#2 360° audio amplification - We literally tried walking away in both directions, 60 paces, speaking at normal conversational volume, and whoever was wearing the earmuffs Was easily able to hear us from a distance from either the front or behind them.

#3 Comfortable, Comfortable, Comfortable - These are most were so comfortable in fact that I was able to wear them for the entire time that I was shooting without having to take them off they do not compress my ears even with my big head and eye protection on they were still quite comfortable. after wearing them for so long I did notice a few other things that I thought would be quite helpful this winter and one was that it will keeps your ears warm in the cold weather + 2 in the warm weather it will keep the bugs out of your ears if you've ever had that happen to you like I have. another thing that I was able to do was to put in my normal phone earbuds underneath these Amplified shooting ear muffs so that I could have a conversation without missing any of the activity around me. that means a lot to someone like me when I still need to keep an eye on everything that's happening around me even if I need to take a call or do something on my phone that requires audio.

#4 GREAT battery life - I think this item speaks for itself in that the battery life of these earmuffs goes a very long way. Running on only two AAA batteries oh, I found that these work exceptionally well but if you need to turn them off the big knob on the left side is very easy to use to adjust whatever the volume is for the occasion or the situation. Another time that I used these was when I decided to go for a hike at our normal walking trail and was easily able to reach out in all directions and listen to squirrels, unfortunately, from a distance.

In summary I think that these would be an excellent purchase and I am definitely going to be using these for this next hunting seasons as I go out during bow season and then again during rifle season. I I actually think this will give me a little bit of an advantage allowing me to stay out in the stand longer increasing my possibility to get a deer or just enjoy nature. please check out the link above if you're interested in these, I think that the Kryptek pattern used on the earmuffs looks really nice but if that's not your thing there are several other options and to boot they are small enough to fit in your hunting bag as well.
